Comparative investigation of different types of nickel foam samples for application in supercapacitors and other electrochemical devices

Nickel foam is widely used as a current lead/current collector and the basis of nickel hydroxide electrodes for various electrochemical devices – batteries, hybrid supercapacitors, electrocatalytic oxidation organic substances. The characteristics commercial samples produced by Novomet-Perm (Russian Federation) obtained electroless then plating Linyi Gelon LIB Co Ltd (China) were studied. nature passivity was determined forming model on steel base. For passive sample, activation carried out applying layer from an impact solution. Activated, non-activated foam, well samples, studied methods cyclic voltammetry galvanostatic charge-discharge cycling in supercapacitor mode.
